»You are my creator, but I am your master; obey!«
The world as we know it seems to be lost. With the climate catastrophe proceeding unchecked, we’re eliminating the basis for our existence by destroying the planet. Has that sealed the extermination of our species or can the artificial intelligence that we developed so rapidly still light the way to a just and climate neutral world? And if yes, at what price: what happens to the people who will lose their jobs because of artificial intelligence in the coming years? Where will the profits go? Is A.I. humanity’s last hope or will it turn into spirits we summoned and can no longer get rid of? Are we really ready for a world in which evolution no longer ends with humans and we can no longer consider ourselves the pinnacle of creation? Oliver Frljić uses Mary Shelly’s novel Frankenstein to ask who or what »the monster« is.
