Daniel Regenberg, born in 1976, studied mathematics and philosophy at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, jazz piano/pop music and composition at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin, and film music at the Film University Konrad Wolf Babelsberg.
In addition to giving numerous concerts and composing a variety of music for film, Regenberg also worked as a music director and stage pianist for theatre productions at venues including the Volksbühne Berlin, Maxim Gorki Theatre, Deutsches Theater, Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Schauspiel Köln and Schauspiel Zürich, in collaboration with Oliver Frljić, Sebastian Baumgarten, Nicolas Stemann, Karin Henkel, Karin Beier, Ivan Panteleev and regularly with Milan Peschel. He produced music for multiple dance productions as well, primarily in collaboration with Juschka Weigel. In addition, Regenberg has released multiple albums and is active as an author and director.
In the Gorki’s 2020/2021 season, he is in charge of the music for Oliver Frljić’s production Alles unter Kontrolle.
