For the launch of the series on May 22nd, Achille Mbembe and Dipesh Chakrabarty, historians, political thinkers and pioneers of post-colonialism, span the distance between different notions of order and disorder. They investigate the emergence of orders and their protection under the conditions of globalization and capitalism. In this process, order appears to be a category in transition: is what we perceive to be phenomena of crisis a breaking of the “joints” between the tectonic plates of narratives and images of humanity?

Berlin Correspondence is a Matinée-Series of the Gorki Forum and the Humboldt University Berlin in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
