Esra Küçük is a Hamburg native and social scientist. Küçük completed a Franco-German double master’s degree at the University of Münster and the Institute d'Études Politiques (Sciences Po) in France. After her studies at the Stiftung Mercator, Expert Council of German Foundations for Integration and Migration, and Humboldt University of Berlin, she initiated and directed the Germany-wide educational programme “Junge Islam Konferenz” (Youth Islam Conference). She developed the concept to both provide young people with a forum for exchange and an institutionalised voice in political debates on the topics of anti-Muslim racism, diversity and social cohesion in Germany, as well as engage with related discourses with a focus on opportunity.
