The play by Hakan Savaş Mican, which premiered at Ballhaus Naunynstraße in November 2009, takes a look at aspects of the history of divided Berlin that have not received much attention to this day. A piece about inner and outer borders has been created from interviews, in which German-German and German-Turkish history is told from a post-migrant perspective. The play Die Schwäne vom Schlachthof tells the story of the drowned children who fell victim to the shared irresponsibility of East and West Berlin and is a search for lost memories of a bygone time when the borders and walls through Berlin were still made of visible concrete.
