Saro Emirze was born in Frankfurt am Main in 1977. He completed his studies in acting at the University of Music and Theatre »Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy« Leipzig. From 2001-2003 Emirze worked at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden (Studio), and then at the Theater Junge Generation until 2008. In the 2008/09 season he worked at the Gerhart-Hauptmann Theater in Zittau and from 2009-2012 at the Theater Plauen-Zwickau. Emirze has appeared in film and television productions as well, including various Tatort episodes and the Bad Banks series; he’s also featured in a supporting role in a Hollywood production starring Ben Foster. Emirze has been working as a freelance actor since 2012. At the Gorki he can be seen in Get Deutsch Or Die Tryin’.
