Aram Tafreshian was born in Filderstadt in 1990 and gathered his first stage experiences as a percussionist. He studied drama at the Ernst Busch Academy of the Dramatic Arts in Berlin, where he appeared in several productions of the bat-Studiotheater, e.g. Leonhard Frank’s Der Bürger directed by Simon Kubisch. Furthermore, Aram Tafreshian was seen in Das Ding by Phillip Löhle, shown at the Deutsches Theater’s box. In 2012 he became a company member of the State Theatre Mainz, where his appearances included Fassbinder’s Katzelmacher directed by Hakan Savaş Mican. From the season 2013/14 to 2019/20 Aram Tafreshian was a member of the ensemble at the Gorki Theatre. From the season 2020/21 he can be seen as a regular guest on the Gorki stage, as in EIN BERICHT FÜR EINE AKADEMIE directed by Oliver Frljić. AMORE is his first Gorki production as director.
