What is the price that societies pay for collective amnesia? 110 years after the Armenian Genocide, and in light of the latest armed conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) in 2023, Hans-Werner Kroesinger and Regina Dura return to, after their first work on it in 2015, the novel Die vierzig Tage des Musa Dagh (The Forty Days of Musa Dagh) and grappling with the question of the structural organization of genocides. Documentary material is woven together with Franz Werfel’s text to create a staged reading.
