Mürtüz Yolcu, a witness to this history, and the collections director of the FHXB Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg Museum present archived materials from the history of migrant theatre in Berlin. They chronicle its beginnings in the Volkshochschule in Kreuzberg and trace Yolcu’s personal path, which later led to the Tiyatrom, and from there to Familien-Theater and Diyalog Festival – so, all the way up to the Ballhaus Naunynstraße, before it became the spot where post-migrant theatre was proclaimed.
We will also broadcast the event in a livestream.
This event is part of ’61–’91–’21: Immer Wieder Deutschland, the accompanying programme for the exhibition Offener Prozess.
