Elena Schmidt

Elena Schmidt studied acting and worked at the Deutsches Theater Berlin, the Maxim Gorki Theater and La maldita vanidad teatro in Bogota, among others. In addition to theater work, Elena can be seen in film and television, such as in Prototypes by Doireann O`Malley, which won the 2018 Berlin Art Prize.
Elena regularly collaborates with different radio stations.
In 2019, Elena initiated the creation of the artist collective Elevator Bitches. In 2019, the Elevator Bitches received the research grant Flausen+ and spent a month researching the topic of violence against and pain of FLINT people.
In the same year, Elena started working as a writer. Since 2021 Elena has been teaching at the Universität Mozarteum. First directing work in 2022 at Theater Thikwa.
