Eine Lecture-Performance mit Fotoalbum

A young orthodox Jew is being drafted to the Austro- Hungarian Army in 1914 in Dolyna, Galicia (today Ukraine) to World War I. Years later he comes back and lost his faith. Foreseeing World War II, a zionist Jew flees from Austria to Palestine in 1936 to fight for building the state of Israel. His son prefers to do arts, but in 1973 he has to interrupt rehearsals for a theatre play because he is drafted to the Israeli army to fight in the Yom Kippur War. The daughter of this man, also a theatre director, is doing her military service at the army radio, when Yitzchak Rabin is assassinated in 1995. Her brother also wants mto study directing, but before he has to go to the army in August 2000 – one month later Ariel Sharon climbs on Temple Mount and the second Intifada begins. 

Michael Ronen explores in his Lecture-Performance stories of his family and tells in best Stand-Up Manner of soldiers who in the last 100 years were overrun by wars.
