As part of the festival Uniting Backgrounds we welcome you to a series of evening talk shows in the Lichtsaal from 9–22 October. Together with artists participating in the festival and representatives from politics, science and journalism, we'll discuss the West's millennia-old, top export of »democracy«. Using the festival productions, their themes and national connections, as starting points, we intend to open the discussion to general issues concerning the people's will, participation and representation in Europe. The background discussions Reclaiming Democracy invite festival guests to continue the conversation in a relaxed salon atmosphere.
