Encountering the Deeply Rooted

Through the lens of three short films, Tara Al-Dughaither will dissect the nuances and transformational qualities of music as well as the notion of authorship in the context of women’s folk music. The screening will be followed by a discussion about the preservation of collective and individual histories, and art practices that broaden definitions of authorship.
