Yair Kira

After studying chemical engineering and working as project manager in Israel, Yair Kira decided to make a change in his professional life. He moved to Germany and graduated as product designer in Berlin University of the Arts. In 2013 together with a group of artists he founded the art space “Group Global 3000” in Berlin and currently he is working as a designer in the field of digital fabrication. With both engineering and artistic background, he is interested in bridging between the functional and conceptual. His professional experience allows him to research innovative forms of creation such his unique method for using 3D printers as crafting tools. Kira is exhibiting his works in private and group exhibitions as well as in Design Festivals and fairs across Germany.
