TALKING STRAIGHT produces professional services like performative simulations and immersive theatre shows. All our productions are delivered in »Fremdsprache« (an invented middle-european language) or a variety of other distorted languages. Just like simulations for medical or military personnel are aiming to train the participants for an eventual state of emergency, we emulate everyday life and proclaim »the normal« to be the actual catastrophe. Conferences, coaching Seminars and religious rituals are examples from our broad portfolio, as well as the recently relased »TALKING STRAIGHT Festival«, a simulation of an international theatre festival showcasing the exotic theatre art of white Europeans. Shown at Haus der Berliner Festspiele in May 2015 within the framework of the Stückemarkt of Berliner Theatertreffen, the simulation consisted of an 8 hour program of shows, artist talks and workshops completely in »Fremdsprache« and was awarded with the »Preis der Autoren«. We regularly offer our services in collaboration with Studio Я at Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, where also our latest production, TALKING STRAIGHT WILL SET US FREE, came out this October.
