Sophie du Vinage works as a freelance set and costume designer for opera and theatre. She has designed sets and costumes for venues including the Zurich Opera House, as well as city and state theatres in Düsseldorf, Graz, Karlsruhe, Heidelberg, Mainz, Dresden, Bern and Mannheim.
She has collaborated with Hakan Savaş Mican at the Maxim Gorki Theatre several times. She designed the costumes for Kleiner Mann - was nun? (Little Man, What Now?) and Der Mann, der Liberty Valence erschoss (The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence). Back in 2014 she designed costumes for Yael Ronen's production Community at the Schauspielhaus Graz. Her latest productions at the Gorki include Winterreise, another collaboration with Ronen, and Glaube Liebe Hoffnung (Faith, Hope, and Charity) with Hakan Savaş Mican.
