Aysima Ergün, born in Berlin in 1994, completed her studies at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts from 2016-2020. Before beginning her studies, she was invited to the 2012 and 2014 Theatertreffen der Jugend festivals with two productions. At the 2019 Schauspielschultreffen festival for acting schools, she and her fellow students received a scholarship prize for their original play.
After a few initial forays into radio plays, she has been a recurring detective on the Bremen Radio Tatort since 2019. During her studies she appeared as a guest performer at the Deutsches Theater and Berliner Ensemble. In addition, she is a member of the »stabiler Rücken« association and a part of the »mach mich hunde gruppe« collective with Altinë Emini, Etritane Emini, Dor Keren, Samuel Simon and Hêvîn Tekin.
She has been a member of the ensemble at the Maxim Gorki Theatre since the 2020/21 season, working with directors such as Yael Ronen, Sebastian Baumgarten, Nurkan Erpulat and Sebastian Nübling. Her productions include ES SAGT MIR NICHTS, DAS SOGENANNTE DRAUSSEN (REMAKE) directed by Sebastian Nübling, which was chosen by Theater heute as the play of the year in 2014 and VERRÜCKTES BLUT directed by Nurkan Erpulat, which was invited to the Theatertreffen festival in 2011.
She can also be seen in BÜHNENBESCHIMFUNG directed by Sebastian Nübling, which was named Play of the Year in 2023 and nominated for the 48th Mülheim Theatre Days, and in DSCHINNS, directed by Nurkan Erpulat, which was awarded the Friedrich Luft Prize in 2023. In season 2023/24, she was also premiering three other productions at Studio Я: DIE OPTIMISTINNEN directed by Emel Aydoğdu, ELLBOGEN in a monologue version directed by Murat Dikenci and ENDGAME 24, staged by Marco Damghani.
