Andre Neely is an artist, writer and performer based in Berlin. Their practice explores the utopian potential of a soft and caring embrace of disaster as a site for personal and spatial becoming. They’ve trained as a performer in Lisbon and in London, where they focused on queer and feminist perspectives in live-art and experimental writing. In 2014/15 Andre was a soho theatre young writer, where they started developing the theatre play still//ness, which toured the UK and Portugal.
Andre has worked across europe at venues including Teatro da Politécnica, V&A museum, Tate Modern, project arts centre, Tanzfabrik Berlin or the Hebbel am Ufer theatre; and they’ve performed with artists including João Pedro Rodrigues, Rosana Cade, Antonija Livingstone, Liz Rosenfeld, Bojana Cvejić and Boris Charmatz.
They are also a part of 'at some point', a group of 10 people who make unstable situations about unstable situations, and of the experimental performance ensemble Ponyboy Curtis.
