Ever since resident director Nurkan Erpulat staged its world premiere production, Behzad Karim Khani’s powerful debut novel Hund, Wolf, Schakal (Dog, Wolf, Jackal) has also been a rousing success on the Gorki stage. With Als wir Schwäne waren (When We Were Swans) Kahni, who fled from Tehran to Germany as a child in the 80s, presents his latest book. He’s supported by his colleagues, actors Pegah Ferydoni and Melika Foroutan. They discuss the diaspora as a homeland, spending one’s youth in the Ruhr area and finding a place in literature. Followed by a performance of Hund, Wolf, Schakal on the mainstage.
