Behzad Karim Khani was born in Teheran and grew up in a family of artists. He wasn’t even ten years old yet when he came to Germany with his parents and they settled in the Ruhr area. He has lived in Berlin-Kreuzberg since 2003. His debut novel Hund, Wolf, Schakal (Dog, Wolf, Jackal), which was published in 2022 and garnered him the debut prizes from the Harbour Front Literaturfestival and Buddenbrookhaus, is now celebrating its world premiere at the Gorki.
