Contrary to the racist-classist media discourse about migrant life in Germany, Urban Guerillas presents the urban subculture of Berlin Kreuzberg in a unique way. The film provides insight into a world in which hip-hop, breakdance, rap and the sprayer scene ruled the 90s. Following the screening, director Neco Çelik talks about the portrayal of this hybrid microcosm and also about his youth in the neighborhood.
