Revolution as dream or illusion: Under the title Rêv'illusion, the Moroccan choreographer Taoufiq Izeddiou stages a reflection of the current political developments in North Africa as a research into physical states of consciousness. Intimate, collective, aggressive and happy - a moving dance commentary on the Arab Spring. Four dancers, including Izeddiou himself, make the stage into a symbolic place where conflicts, inquiries and ambiguities of collective transformation processes and individual positioning can manifest.
Taoufiq Izeddiou dabbled in boxing, theatre and architecture before devoting himself to dance. He is among the most important artists in the contemporary dance world in Morocco.
