Kadivar, born in Iran, grew up in France and now in Berlin, collects philosophical thoughts on language, migration and homeland in his Petit Livre des Migrations (Small Book of Migration). In her book Migrating the Feminine, Nora Amin reflects on the role of women during the events surrounding Tahrir Square in Cairo from a feminist perspective. Both authors originally come from the theatre. Their essays are personal and academic at the same time. Two writers in search of a form.
