Georgia Doll

Georgia Doll, born in Vienna in 1980, is a playwright and director for the theatre. She studied theatre studies in Hamburg and Toulouse, direction in Paris and dramatic writing in Berlin. She writes in both French and German. Her plays – Le pays sombre, Miss Europa fährt nach Afrika, der hang zum grundsätzlichen, Lorenzos Rückkehr, La faim du roi, das blaue gold, Stranger and Das Letzte – have been produced in Germany, Austria and France. She has directed plays in Paris, Toulouse, Lomé and Marseille and created the short film Der Vogel und die Fenster together with her co-director Ida Clay. In Marseilles she works with her company Les Passagers du Mardi.
As part of the author’s workshop RAUŞ - NEUE DEUTSCHE STÜCKE – a joint project from freitext magazine, Ballhaus Naunynstraße and the Maxim Gorki Theatre  – her play ich waren wir wir waren ich was shown in Studio Я at the Maxim Gorki Theatre and in Ballhaus Naunynstraße.
