iz-le

To go on a search for what remains unspoken in the German-Turkish-Armenian relationship mesh of her family means, for Jasmin ihraç, to follow a path. Observing, looking, watching, following this path is called "iz-le". The stories and reports from her ancestors, places that are unknown to her, and yet familiar, things that she knows, but does not understand, become the narrative of her choreography. The path leads from Kayseri, Istanbul, Beirut, London to Berlin and ignites the need to remember. iz-le had its premiere in 2013 in Berlin (Kunstraum Bethanien) and has since appeared in Istanbul, Yerevan, St. Petersburg and Athens.
