On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the alleged liberation from National Socialism, Achim Doerfer discusses Jewish revenge and the failure of the German justice system after 1945. In his book Irgendjemand musste die Täter ja bestrafen (Someone Had to Punish the Perpetrators), Doerfer itemizes how the perpetrators were systematically spared and how millions of victims received no justice. Given the mass reintegration of the perpetrators, the much-acclaimed reconciliation between Germans and Jews also remains, to the present day, an unworthy piece of commemorative theatre.
