Gianni Jovanovic is an activist in the Sinti and Roma community. A voice of many, and he doesn't claim to represent all of them. His voice is loud, his language explicit. Ich, ein Kind der kleinen Mehrheit (Me, the Child of a Small Majority), describes his life (survival) in a white dominant society. A love between ambivalences, between violence and resistance, forgiveness and love. With caustic humour and cynical charm, he recounts, together with journalist Oyindamola Alashe, his history of self-empowerment and, in the process, creates a life-affirming, anti-racist, diverse blueprint for society.
