HYENAZ: KNOWBODY

Technosomatic Sonic Performance

Avant-garde electronica duo HYENAZ close out the festival with an ecstatic concert.

Berlin-based sound and movement artists Kathryn Fischer and Adrienne Teicher Berlin-based sound and movement artists are HYENAZ. The techno soundscapes, performative installations and a/v works they produce are based on the sonic shapeshifting of field recordings gathered everywhere from migrant camps to amphibian habitats to intentional communities. These works ask: What happens when the body becomes a foreign object, an unknown territory even to itself, a thing to be feared, managed? What possibilities for resistance can we find through proximity?

The dance floor in the foyer features DJs from the Berlin club scene every night.
