Herbstsalon-Labor

Herbstsalon-Labor

The Herbstsalon-Labor is aimed at anyone aged 18 or over who is interested in creative exchange and who would like to discover the 4th Berlin Herbstsalon together with a small group of guests. In addition to attending selected events on three weekends, workshops are planned in which what has been seen, heard and experienced can be put to the test and combined with personal experiences and impressions.

We want to use the opportunity of the festival to expand our own reception and thinking frames with you – as theatre makers, spectators or activists. We want to form new alliances and establish a culture of debate, which we believe is necessary in order to respond to the festival's call: DE-HEIMATIZE IT!

Conductors/leaders of the Labor: Isabella Sedlak and Sandra Wolf. Both were assisting for many years at the Maxim Gorki Theater for directors like Yael Ronen, Sebastian Nübling, Suna Gürler, Lola Arias und Ersan Mondtag. Today they are working as a free directress and dramaturge and a lot of the time as a team. At the fourth  «Berliner Herbstsalon» they are presenting some of their own work.

Please send us as an expression of interest a short statement on your personal association with the term “belonging” to: x@gorki.de in a format of your choice (e.g. video, audio message, text (one A4 page) or photo with comment)

Deadline: Monday, 21st October 2019.
We ask for your understanding that the number of participants is limited to 15 and that we try to keep the group structure as balanced as possible.
Participation on all dates is obligatory.
The laboratory as well as most events are free of charge. The ticket prices for the performances of Rewitching Europe and Oder: Du verdienst deinen Krieg (Eight Soldiers Moonsick), which are part of the program, have to be paid at the box office.
