Lukas Fröhlich completed a master’s degree in jazz performance in New York. He writes music for ensembles, theatre and dance theatre productions, film directors, workshops and for his band Lucasonic, where he’s the frontman and singer. Since 2002 he’s worked as a teacher at the Lüneburger Jazzworkshop and is a trumpeter and arranger for brass and winds in bands like the Mousse t. Band and Stefan Gwildis Band. In 2006 he won the JBC big band composition prize. Since 2007 Fröhlich has appeared in various productions in the theatre as both a musician and in speaking roles, including Trommeln in der Nacht at the Berliner Ensemble and his Lukas und das Echo one-man show.
