Dalia Taha, born 1986 in Berlin, grew up in Ramallah (West Bank) and is a poet and writer. She was a long-standing member of the editorial board of the magazine “Yaraat” and has published poems and articles that deal primarily with spatial concepts under colonial conditions. Her first novel, 'Arrafu l-Sawad' (eng: The Black Fortune Teller) was published in 2007. Her produced plays include Hunger: a Musical by Qattan Foundation and Al-Mawred Althaqafy (Palestine, 2018), There is no one Between you and me Brown University (2016), Fireworks by the Royal Court Theatre (2015), Keffiyeh/ Made in China by The Flemish Royal Theatre and the Qattan Foundation (2012). Her poetry collection, The Autobiography of the People of the City of R is forthcoming. Dalia holds an MFA in Playwriting from Brown University. She is at the moment under commission by the Royal Court Theatre and and she wrote in English the play Graduation as part of Out of Sight.
