Yusuph Suso

Yusuph Suso is a singer who was born in 1995 Tambasanasang Gambia into a long line of court musicians stretching back to the ancient kingdom of Mali. He emigrated from Gambia in May 2011 and arrived in Italy in December 2012. Since his arrival in Italy he has worked as a translator, interpreter and migrant advocate and currently spends multiple months at sea working for the Red Cross on a quarantine ship for newly arrived migrants.
