She is a curator for the Pop-Kultur-Festival Berlin, DJ, host of the Female:Pressure show on Byte FM, activist and producer of queer event series like erdogay, bubble, queer ping pong and more. Her formats like Pop-Hayat at the Pop-Kultur Festival combine talks, workshops and the performative installation Çaystube, which serves as a experiential space for marginalised communities. She positions her activities within the queer club scene and post-migrant discourse. In her work, Duman discusses queerness, social marginalisation and the situation of female/non-binary artists in pop and club culture from the perspective of a queer, post-migrant person. Duman has curated talks such as Let’s talk about gender, habibi; Tops or Bottoms and wish you were queer. As a member of the female:pressure platform, she is dedicated to improving the inclusion of people read as female.
