Ursula Leuenberger was born in Bern, Switzerland, in 1972. She trained as a ladies‘ and theatrical seamstress. From 1997 to 2000 she was costume assistant at the Basle Theatre. Since then, she has been a freelance costume designer, working, for example, for the Basle Theatre, Zurich Theatre, Hanover Theatre, at the Deutsches Theater Berlin, the Schauspiel Köln, the Staatsschauspiel Dresden and at the junges theater basel, where she has also designed sets for various productions. At Maxim Gorki Theater she designed stage and costumes for the production Stören directed by Suna Gürler.
