Ufuk Cam, born in Erzincan, in a country called Turkey. Raised in Duisburg, where he learned to think somewhat cleverly, find friends, go through his first traumatic experiences and have a really good time. After that came a degree programme in media studies in Cologne, where he studied everything weird and freaky, never-ending identity crises, parties and heartbreak. And then the working world, finally or unfortunately, made him serious: first as an editor for film and television, now as an author and director for documentaries, reports, and segments (for Arte Tracks, Arte:RE, RBB Kultur Magazin). The professional credit he can boast the most about is that he was co-author and archive producer for the abnormally awesome documentary Aşk, Mark ve Ölüm – Liebe, D-Mark und Tod. He kisses your eyes.
