Turgut Kocaman, born in Istanbul in 1979, studied set and costume design at the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Since 2012 he has been based in Berlin and works as a costume designer, scenographer and exhibition designer for a variety of theatre and art venues. In addition, he continues to work on his own paintings, which he has presented in various exhibitions since 2018. The venues Turgut Kocaman has worked at include the Theater Osnabrück, Werk X in Vienna, Ballhaus Naunynstraße, Ballhaus Prinzenallee, Şermola Theater, Garaj Istanbul, Istanbul & Ankara DT. His previous collaborations with Nurkan Erpulat include the Dunkel lockende Welt production at Werk X and DSCHINNS at Maxim Gorki Theater.
