Tim Freudensprung, born in 1994, studied acting at the University of the Arts in Berlin. Before his studies he worked as a tennis coach and performed in the independent theatre scene in and around Munich. During his studies he worked with Hermann Schmit Rahmer on his production of Elfriede Jelinek's sportstück, which won the ensemble prize at the festival for acting schools. During his studies, Tim Freudensprung also worked as a voice over artist for RBB and Deutschlandfunkkultur. He garnered additional theatre experience in Hier Kein Sex directed by Franziska Wenning at the Deutsches Theater’s Box venue and in Schamparadies directed by Fabian Gerhardt at the Hans Otto Theater Potsdam and the Theaterdiscounter. Freudensprung also works as a director at, for example, the Neue Bühne Bruck. Tim Freudensprung has been part of the Gorki ensemble since the 2020/2021 season, where he has worked with directors such as Yael Ronen, Anta Helena Recke, Sebastian Baumgarten, Sebastian Nübling and Christian Weise. In the 2023/24 season, he can be seen in Der Untertan directed by Christian Weise, in Hund, Wolf, Schakal directed by Nurkan Erpulat and in i'm a girl you can hold IRL directed by Zelal Yeşilyurt. He also plays in Dämonen (Berlin) by Boris Nikitin and Sebastian Nübling.
