Following his studies, Thomaspeter Goergen began working as a director and supporting actor at the Theater an der Ruhr in Mülheim, before he switched to the Staatstheater Kassel to work as a dramaturg. He has previously collaborated with Ersan Mondtag on Tyrannis at the Staatstheater Kassel as a dramaturg, and as an author on Requiem deutscher Gerichtsprachen at the Gorki and I am a problem at the Museum für Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt. At the Maxim Gorki Theatre, Ersan Mondtag directed Goergen's adaptation (overpainting) of Oscar Wilde's Salome.
