Thilo Bode

Thilo Bode, born in 1947, studied sociology and economics. In 1989 he became managing director of Greenpeace Germany, in 1995 executive director  of Greenpeace International. In 2002 he founded the consumer rights organisation Foodwatch, which he directed until 2021. Thilo Bode has published several books including Die Demokratie verrät ihre Kinder (Democracy Betrays Its Children, 2003), Abgespeist (Palmed Off, 2007) and Die Essensfälscher (The Food Forgers, 2010). His most recent publication was the bestseller TTIP – Die Freihandelslüge. Warum TTIP nur den Konzernen nützt – und uns allen schadet (TTIP – The Free-Trade Lie. Why TTIP is only good for corporations – and hurts us all, 2015).
