Teresa Vergho was born in Regensburg in 1980 and completed an apprenticeship in dressmaking at the Residenztheater München, in addition to studying set and costume design at the HfbK Dresden and UdK Berlin. From 2009 to 2012 she was on the staff of the design department at the Münchner Kammerspiele. Since 2012 Vergho has worked as a freelance set and costume designer at the Münchner Kammerspiele, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, Staatstheater Nürnberg and Oper Stuttgart.
In 2017 Vergho was nominated for the German Theatre Award »Der Faust« in the costume and set design category for her costume designs for The Suicide Sisters (Director: Susanne Kennedy). In the 2020/2021 season she makes the costume design for Ersan Mondtag's production It's going to get worse at the Gorki Theatre.
