Tara Bouman conducts outwards the notes she hears within; at the moment she primarily plays concerts together with Markus Stockhausen (trumpet, flugelhorn) as the Moving Sounds duo and loves playing in beautiful and grand resonant spaces in which woodwind sounds can unfold and develop.
She studied classical clarinet in Holland, played many concerts in the Netherlands and around Europe, mostly in the field of so-called new music, until Markus Stockhausen inspired her to learn improvisation. They produced a few CDs together.
Parallel to her life in music, she completed her training in Iyengar yoga and has taught yoga from her home since 2008, in addition to special courses for musicians at summer schools and elsewhere.
