Federal Constitutional Court justice Susanne Baer’s work focuses on issues of basic and human rights as well as equality law. Her voice is often heard on current developments in Europe. With a clear-sighted and differentiated approach, she promotes democracy and encourages people to defend basic rights that may have become self-evident. Since 2002, Susanne Baer holds a chair for public law and gender studies at Berlin’s Humboldt University as well as teaching (since 2010) at the University of Michigan, USA. She has also taught at CEU Budapest.
