Stella Hilb

Stella Hilb was born in Frankfurt am Main in 1986 and spent part of her childhood in Bologna, Italy. She studied at the Film University Konrad Wolf in Potsdam-Babelsberg from 2006-2010, and then appeared at the German-language theatre in Bolzano in a production of Nathan der Weise (Nathan the Wise, directed by Monica Steil). She worked at the neues theater halle from 2012-2015/16. There she appeared in various productions including Maria Stuart (director: Matthias Brenner), Effi Briest (director: Alice Asper), Die Weber (The Weavers, director: Jo Fabian), Wir sind keine Barbaren (We're not Barbarians, director: Ronald Jakubaschk), and Mephisto (director: Jo Fabian). In 2013 she received the theatre's advancement award for acting. She collaborates regularly with director Nora Abdel-Maksoud (Ballhaus Naunynstraße, Kings, 2014), (Halle, Mad Madams, 2015). She began working as a freelance actress in Berlin in July 2016, appearing regularly in film and television alongside her work in the theatre.
