Shlomi Shaban, born 1976 in Tel Aviv, is a singer-songwriter, composer and classical pianist. In early years he learned playing classical piano followed by a diploma from the London Royal College and being able to play as a soloist with the Israeli Philharmonic. After those experiences Shaban shifted his artistic focus on genres like pop or rock and released his first album 1998. Besides winning prices at the AMI Awards he also got distinguished as »Writer of the Year« at the ACUM Award.
Shaban is also famous for collaborations with artists like Berry Sakharof, Yehudit Ravitz or the singer-songwriter Keren Ann with which he recorded a Hebrew version of Bob Dylan’s “Mama You’ve Been On My Mind”. With his songs Shaban was already part of Yeal Ronen’s play Yes but No.
