Sanem Kleff is an educator and has been the director of the national network Schools without Racism – Schools with Courage since 2000. In this position, she has developed numerous frameworks for human rights education and anti-discrimination work in schools and has published related books, materials and handouts. Her previous work was as a secondary school teacher for visual arts and German as a second language and as a lecturer in teacher training. Furthermore, Kleff has been active in various leadership positions in the education sector union on both the Berlin regional and national levels. Her work focuses on the areas of intercultural pedagogy, instruction for children who speak German as a second language, violence prevention, Islamism and anti-discrimination, as well as religion, state and society.
