Sabiha Khalil

Sabiha Khalil is a Syrian-Kurdish feminist activist, human rights and gender expert. She is a co-founder of the first Syrian-Kurdish non-partisan women's organization Komela Jin in Aleppo in 2005 and the Syrian Women's Network in 2013. She is also a founding member of the Syrian Women's Political Movement (SWPM) and was a member of its General Secretariat. She has documented the events in Afrin in this and other capacities and cooperated with the United Nations Commission of Inquiry on the Syrian Arab Republic (UN-COI) in this regard.
