Romy was the Program Director of The DO School’s Venture Lab (2011-16) where she supported over 120 social entrepreneurs from around the world to kick-start their for- and non-profit projects. At the DO School, Romy also developed and ran one of the first MOOCs on social entrepreneurship, reaching thousands of participants. She still consults incubators in the social entrepreneurship and social innovation space to develop their educational programs. Romy obtained her PhD in Business-Society Management from the Rotterdam School of Management for which she conducted several months of field research in Orissa, India on the emergence of a transnational anti-mining movement. Romy teaches university courses in corporate social responsibility and business ethics.
