Riah Knight (born in 1996) is a British singer-songwriter and actress who lives and works between Germany and England. Since performing in ROMA ARMEE (2017), she has featured in further theatrical productions directed by Yael Ronen at the Maxim Gorki Theatre, Berlin, such as YES BUT NO (2018), REWITCHING EUROPE (2019) and SLIPPERY SLOPE (2021), which she also worked on as a writer. She also co-composed music for the shows. She was part of Marta Górnicka's Political Voice Institute, and has featured in various performances and festivals, such as The Long Night of Coming Out and Gypsy Songs and Reports from Brexitland at Studio Я. Riah also developed a two-woman play BANG! (2021) with the feminist collective Glossy Pain and her co-star Claude Breton, directed by Katharina Stoll.
She is a published poet (Butchers Dog, Wagtail 2021) and radio presenter (Platform B) and collaborates internationally on music with hip-hop and jazz artists. In April 2021, independent label Get Together released Riah’s debut single Knight in Neukölln. This was followed by the collaborative release Riah Lick Your Wounds in September of the same year.
