Instead of the fast-track to fame and the media circus, the Kreuzberg-crew RAPK, made up of two rappers, Victor and Tariq, and art director Gusy, who’s on the visual trigger, make music with a regional focus. Since 2017 (still known as Rapkreation at that time), they’ve written the hymns of their home, Kreuzberg, combining Berlin toughness and French melancholy into a fusion that’s unique in German rap. Over the years they’ve forged connections with a variety of other underground artists such as BHZ, Lugatti & 9ine as well as Kwam.E, Souly and Berq. In 2023 their third and most recent album dropped: from station to station, from song to song, Champions exudes the universal vibe that RAPK’s fans love them for. It’s about hood life, friendship, self-love, and finding yourself. On 01.02.24 we will have the honour of welcoming RAPK to Studio Я as the first guests for LET’S TALK ABOUT TEXT, BABY, Miriam Davoudvandi’s new discussion series and podcast.
