Polina Lapkovskaja

Polina Lapkovskaja was born in Minsk in 1982. The Munich-based singer, composer and performance artist worked in music for the theatre for the first time on the Illegal project in 2008. In 2010, she and her band Pollyester produced the Pollyester Parking Lot project at the Münchner Kammerspiele. In 2014 she created the music for Stephan Kimmig's production of Tales from the Vienna Woods by Ödön von Horváth at the Münchner Kammerspiele. In 2015 she developed the music for Goethe's Clavigo as directed by Kimmig, a commission from the Salzburger Festspiele in co-production with the Deutsches Theater Berlin. In 2013 she received Munich's Förderpreis Musik. At the Gorki she was playing the live soundtrack for Ausser sich and was co-responsible for the composition in Marta Górnicka's intervention COMMUNITY: AN APP FOR ONE PERSON at the Gorki Kiosk. In 2021 she is creating the composition in Marta Górnicka's STILL LIFE.
